IMEU's Background briefings contain important information on a wide range of issues.
- The American Friends Service Committee Resources
AFSC, our partner organization, has developed a range of resources -from fact-sheets to analysis -detailing aspects of the Israeli-Palestinian conflict.
- The Electronic Intifada By Topic
EI is the number one web portal for news and analysis on Israel and Palestine. Their "By Topic" section catalogues their archives for easy access.
Maps
- The United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs
UN OCHA's maps are detailed, comprehensive and of the highest quality. Download high resolution pdf maps directly from their Map Center.
- The Palestinian Academic Society for the Study of International Affairs
PASSIA makes available a number of simple yet comprehensive maps, with a particular focus on the area around Jerusalem.
- B'Tselem: The Israeli Information Center for Human Rights in the Occupied Territories
Israel's leading human rights organization has a number of maps available for download.
- The Foundation for Middle East Peace
This US-based foundation monitors Israeli settlements and colonization practices in the West Bank and makes a number of maps available.
- Palestine Remembered
This site, dedicated to the experience of the Palestinian Nakba, contains a variety of mainly historical maps focused on pre-1948 Palestine.
- UNOSAT Gaza Strip Maps
The United Nations Institute for Training and Research (UNITAR) Operational Satellite Applications Programme has created detailed damage assessment maps for areas of the Gaza Strip targeted by Israeli bombing and other attacks.
- The Matrix of Control
This popular map is published by the Israeli Committee Against Home Demolitions and is complemented by an essay written by ICAHD founder Jeff Halper.
- Palestinian Loss of Land 1948 - 2000
This popular map series shows the effects of Israeli colonization activities in an historical perspective.
Human Rights and Humanitarian Reports
- The United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs
UN OCHA gathers information from all UN bodies and other international organizations in order to publish comprehensive and current reports of the humanitarian situation in the West Bank and Gaza Strip. Their work is comprehensive, reliable, and of the highest quality.
- The Palestinian Center for Human Rights
One of the most well respected Palestinian human rights organizations, PCHR published detailed reports on human rights in the occupied Palestinian territories. Their Weekly Reports include detailed information of human rights violation perpetrated by both Israeli and Palestinian actors.
- B'Tselem: The Israeli Information Center for Human Rights in the Occupied Territories
Israel's leading human rights organization has a number of reports available for download.
- BIMKOM: Planners for Human Rights
BIMKOM's reports point to the role of planning and development in human rights violations. Often overlooked, planning and architecture play a significant role in colonial conflicts, such as that in Israel/Palestine, where land is a key issue.
- Amnesty International
The world's most respected human rights organizations publishes periodic reports on human rights violations in Israel/Palestine. Of particular interest is AI's 2009 report on weapons transfers to Israel and Palestinian actors.
- Human Rights Watch
While HRW's work is not as comprehensive as that of Amnesty International, their reports provide good sources of information on a range of human rights issues. Of particular interest is their 2009 report on Israel's use of white phosphorus munitions in the Gaza Strip.

- The Palestine Red Crescent Society
The Palestinian branch of the International Committee of the Red Cross keeps detailed statistics of Palestinian killed and injured by Israeli military operations.
- The Israeli Ministry of Foreign Affairs
Israel's MFA keeps statistics of Israelis killed in Israel's various conflicts, including those killed by Palestinian terrorism.
- B'Tselem: The Israeli Information Center for Human Rights in the Occupied Territories
Israel's leading human rights organization keeps detailed casualty statistics with various categories.
- Remember These Children
A moving site featuring the names of Israeli and Palestinian children killed from 2000 - 2008.
