Hundreds joined Interfaith Peace-Builders, CODEPINK, the Fellowship of Reconciliation, the US Campaign to End the Israeli Occupation, and other national groups, for the 4th Grassroots Advocacy Training and the Expose AIPAC mobilization in Washington DC in March 2013! Thanks to the many participants, the American Israel Public Affairs Committee (AIPAC), had a tough week in Washington.

The weekend's events were covered in diverse media outlets. Highlights included Josh Ruebner's op/ed in The Hill and Rebecca Vilkomerson's piece in The Huffington Post.

Ad Campaigns

Partner organizations, the US Campaign to End the Israeli Occupation and Jewish Voice for Peace, ran simultaneous advertising campaigns in the Washington, DC metro and on mobile trucks circling the AIPAC Convention:

The Grassroots Advocacy Training

The Grassroots Advocacy Training provided seasoned organizers and new activists with skills and experience, and the Expose AIPAC mobilization put those skills into practice immediately!

 

Expose AIPAC Mobilization

Meanwhile, we mobilized hundreds at AIPAC's doorstep. CODEPINK's creative actions and props drew attention to illegal Israeli settlements, expressed solidarity with Palestinian political prisoners on hunger strike, and more.



The work continues now, as AIPAC and other pro-Israel organizations, push to exempt military aid to Israel from sequestration. If they get their way, needed social services such as education, healthcare, and more will be sacrificed so that more US weapons can be sent to Israel.
