Internships with IFPB provide opportunities to participate in the work of a small, independent non-profit. With IFPB you'll be directly involved with work for a greater understanding about Israel/Palestine in the US and a more balanced US policy in the region.

Interns should be highly motivated, interested in the Middle East, and committed to working for peace in the region and supporting progressive advocacy efforts in the United States. Ideally, an intern would have travel experience in Israel/Palestine or the greater Middle East.

Delegation-related tasks available for interns may include:

US Education and Advocacy-related tasks available for interns may include:

Additionally, we encourage interns to work on a variety of independent projects that best utilize their interests and skills. We would be especially interested in candidates whose skills include: website maintenance and development, grant research and proposal writing, outreach to other organizations, and video editing or production.

Interns would be based in either Washington, DC or San Francisco, CA. We encourage a commitment of at least 15 hours a week, and duration of 3-6 months. Interns plan their hours and schedule with IFPB staff to work with other commitments. The internship is unpaid, but can be used as university credit for students.

We accept interns year-round, and are especially looking for interns who would be available to start in Fall 2009.
